Built as two connected farmhouses, this complex has been sensitively integrated into the landscape. Designed and built for extensive use of the outdoor areas, each house has courts at different levels. The living areas have been located at the upper level and these extend to the main garden, which is centered around the swimming pool.

A
separate dining court adjoining the dining room has its own fireplace and
barbecue allowing for use throughout the year. The bedrooms, which are all
located at the lower level also, open directly to the outdoors. On one side
there is the extensive lower level informal garden and on the other side
the internal court adjoining the master bedroom. Both the farmhouses have similar facilities but in keeping with the orientation are different in design. The two units are connected by a covered passage at the lower level. |

The design of the houses makes extensive use of traditional design features and crafts. Carved stone columns and arches, traditional jalis and fountains, as well as mural wall paintings contribute to enhance and enliven the complex.
